WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION —
TONI WALKINGTON
864. Mr P.A. KATSAMBANIS to the Minister for Commerce and
Industrial Relations:
I refer specifically to the analysis
by award-winning Western Australian journalist Gary Adshead —
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members! I would
like to congratulate Gary Adshead; I already have!
Mr P.A. KATSAMBANIS : I refer
to the analysis by Gary Adshead on 8 May 2017 titled ''convenient spin
of a union boss'' in which he insightfully outlined how Toni Walkington,
as head of the Community and Public Sector Union–Civil Service
Association of WA, remained virtually silent as the Labor government gutted the
public service. Can the minister confirm that he has now rewarded this silence
by appointing Toni Walkington to a cushy $300 000-a-year job with the Western Australian
Industrial Relations Commission?

I am very pleased that after 231
days the Liberal Party has decided to ask me a question! On 15 March this year
was the last time any Liberal member of this house asked me a question, and I have
been waiting for them to ask me a question. They have asked me a question and
the answer is no!
