WESTERN
POWER — SUPPLY ALLOCATION
1094. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
I will try this one. I refer to my
question without notice 1062 asked on 26 October 2022 on the so-called trial to
prevent Western Power restricting supply allocation to 32 amps for single-phase
rural residential properties in the trial area only in regional Western Australia.
(1) Since
February 2022, how many homes and businesses that are outside the trial area
but within the south west interconnected system and have not installed solar
power but have otherwise altered their homes' or businesses' electrical configuration have
had to install switch circuit breakers that restrict them to 32 amps?
(2) Will the minister commit to restoring the affected
homes' and businesses' access to their pre–February 2022 amperage?
(3) If no to (3), why not?

I do not think I have that in my
file, either. I did not get to sign off on my questions. I do not know what has
happened to it. I did see it earlier, so hopefully it will make an appearance
before the end of question time.
