I refer to the media
statement by the Attorney General on 21 May 2026 regarding the Public Trustee.
(1) Will the parliamentary secretary
table the findings of the independent review into the Public Trustee's fees and
operating costs?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) When will the government-approved
revised fee model for the Public Trustee be released?
(4) What is the total funding allocated
for the additional 43 staff?
(5) When will the additional staff
allocation commence?

(1) No.
(2) The findings of the independent
review form part of cabinet deliberations and are considered cabinet-in-confidence.
(3) The new fee model will come into
effect on 1 July 2027.
(4) The total funding is $23.9 million
over 2026–27 to 2029–30.
(5) There are 20 staff to commence from 1
July 2026 and 23 staff from 1 July 2027.
