I refer to the RAC 'Risky Roads Survey 2024/25', and the results in relation to the top 10 risky intersections in regional Western Australia, and I ask: (a) for the Caves Road and Wallcliffe Road intersection in Margaret River: (i) how many serious crashes occurred at or near the area in 2024; (ii) how many fatal crashes occurred at or near the area in 2024; and (iii) what steps have been taken, or are being planned, to remediate risk along the identified area?

(i-ii)         Nil.
(iii)          The speed zone on Wallcliffe Road, eastbound off Caves Road, has recently been reduced from 90km/h to 80km/hr as part of the RAC Safer Speed Trial.
The speed zone on Wallcliffe Road, westbound off Caves Road, will also be reduced from 90km/h to 70km/h, also as part of the RAC Safer Speed Trial.
Main Roads continually monitors crash data, along with traffic volumes and community feedback, to determine the needs and priorities for improvements on the State Road network.
