the Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport:
I refer to new road safety cameras
being considered by the Department of Transport for a widespread rollout.
(1) Can the
minister confirm that data harvested by the new multifunctional cameras will be
processed by a United States–based company using artificial
intelligence?
(2) Can the
minister confirm that the cameras and technology being considered are capable
of recording data other than data relating to road safety?
(3) Will the
minister table the contractual details with the provider of the road safety
camera technology that pertain to data privacy and security?

of the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 by the Minister for Police and
only used in ascertaining the occurrence of a road law–related act or
