(1) Will the Minister advise if any heavy haulage permits to operate quad trucks have been granted in the Kalgoorlie-Coolgardie region in the last twelve months?
(2) If so, will the Minister advise the name of the recipients of those permits, the permit access areas and any other conditions imposed on the permit holders?
(3) Has any officer of Main Roads Western Australia objected either formally or informally to the granting of any of these permits?
(4) If so, what is the name of that officer and what was the nature of his/her objections?
(5) Does the Minister agree with the concerns raised by this officer?
(6) If 'no' to (5), why not?
(7) Will the Minister be widening any section of the Kalgoorlie to Coolgardie Highway in order to accommodate the turning circle of these quad trucks?
(8) If not, is the Minister concerned that the safety of other road users may be placed at risk by these quad trucks that need to use the opposite side of the road in order to complete a turn?
(9) Will Main Roads Western Australia be installing flashing lights prior to the Coolgardie Road turn offs used by these vehicles to warn motorists that heavy vehicles are turning or crossing ahead?
(10) If 'no' to (9), why not?
(11) Will Main Roads Western Australia be introducing any additional double white lines to prevent overtaking on Coolgardie Road as a result of the issuing of these permits?
