Fire and Emergency Services Superannuation Fund
1057. Hon Phil Twiss to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Treasurer:
I refer to the Fire
and Emergency Services Superannuation Fund board's recent annual report.
(1) Given the government's target of 80%, is the
Treasurer aware that only 44% of the members of the FES Superannuation Fund
surveyed are satisfied with the service the fund is currently providing?
(2) When will the government finalise the enterprise
bargaining agreement for firefighters currently under negotiation, which was recently
described as "catastrophic" by the United Firefighters Union of WA?
(3) Can the Treasurer guarantee to all defined
benefit members that the government will resolve the EBA at or above the 4%
assumption used by the actuary, or concede that the government's negotiating
delays are directly inflating future fund liabilities?
