Due to the fact that the need for car parking bays at train stations was severely neglected and ignored by the former Labor Government for which the Member was a minister, an election promise was made by the Liberal-National Government to deliver 3000 extra bays on the north-south rail lines. Good management, efficient operations and strong leadership will enable this State Government to exceed that number. Despite the success achieved thus far, more needs to be done. The track record of this Liberal-National Government and the previous Labor Government on this issue should be noted.
