PERTH HILLS —
INCIDENT CONTROL CENTRE
1350. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Emergency
Services:
I refer to an article published by Echo
News on 31 October 2024, entitled ''Perth Hills incident control
centre progress criticised''.
(1) Noting the
assertion made by the member for Hasluck that a federation funding agreement
was signed with the state government, on what date was this agreement signed?
(2) Can the minister please table
the agreement?
(3) On what date was the $3 million
in funding received from the Australian government?
(4) Does the
indicative cost of a purpose-built level 3 incident control centre exceed the
$1.25 million committed by the Australian government; and, if so, what are the
indicative costs of such a facility?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services
advises the following.
(1)–(4) DFES continues to explore site options and
analysis for an incident control centre to service the Perth hills . Once
this work has been finalised, the state government will work with the federal
government on the execution of the final commonwealth funding agreement for
this project.
