On behalf of the Minister for Water, I thank the honourable
member for some notice of this question.
(1) Yes.
(2) I am
advised that Main Roads Western Australia has recently reviewed these bridges
and posted a reduced load rating to ensure the ongoing safety of all bridge
users. The Water Corporation is working closely with Main Roads WA to determine
the remedial action required for each bridge. In the meantime, the Water Corporation
is working with local government to determine alternative routes to minimise
the impact on bridge users and the local community.
(3) The scope of works needs to be determined before any
timing can be confirmed.
