LANDCORP — LANDHOLDINGS AND JOINT VENTURE

minister representing the Minister for Lands:
I refer to the landholdings of
LandCorp and joint venture arrangements.
(1) What is the
total landholding by LandCorp in the Allara joint venture and what is the value
of these landholdings?
(2) What is the
total landholding by LandCorp in the Alkimos joint venture and what is the
value of these landholdings?
(3) What is the total value to
LandCorp of the Parkside Walk project?

(1) LandCorp's
Allara Eglinton landholding under a development agreement consisted of 120 hectares.
The Office of State Revenue has recently assessed the remaining land for land
tax purposes at $420 000 a hectare.
(2) LandCorp
has two separate development agreements over land at Alkimos. The first
development agreement totals 240 hectares, of which 95 hectares is being
developed. The Office of State Revenue recently valued this land for land tax
purposes at a rate of $690 000 a hectare. The second development agreement is
for a total of 145 hectares, and development is yet to commence. The Office of
State Revenue recently valued this land for land tax purposes at a rate of $396
664 a hectare.
(3) The value to LandCorp is approximately $12.6 million,
excluding GST.
