I refer the Premier to the Government’s repeated promises that the next state election will be held on 19 February 2005, with the Premier stating - Ms A.J. MacTiernan interjected. The SPEAKER: Order, members! Mr D.F. BARRON-SULLIVAN: The member will love this! The Premier stated as recently as 16 March - I have consistently said that I want this Government to run its full term - Mr E.S. Ripper interjected. Mr D.F. BARRON-SULLIVAN: I am sorry, the Deputy Premier did not hear that. I will say it again for him. The Premier said - I have consistently said that I want this Government to run its full term, and that is still my position. (1) Will the Premier again commit the Government to the 19 February election date, and run the full four-year term? (2) Despite promising not to take Western Australians to an election early, is the Premier now looking at the prospect of a state election in December to avoid the fallout from another potential power crisis in February next year? Dr G.I. GALLOP
