DENMARK TO WALPOLE POWER TRANSMISSION LINE
Noting the recent headworks charges announcement, I refer to the quality and reliability issues of the Denmark to Walpole feeder and proposals for a $40 million upgrade, and the requirements for the Economic Regulation Authority to review all upgrades costing more than $5 million. (1) Has the government and/or Western Power undertaken a detailed analysis of technical alternatives to upgrading the Denmark to Walpole transmission line? (2) Will the minister table the outcome of that analysis? (3) If no to (2), why not? (4) Will the minister table any studies that relate to - (a) resolving technical difficulties associated with power supply on the Denmark to Walpole feeder; or (b) an economic and social assessment of options for the Denmark to Walpole feeder?
