682. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to Banksia Hill Detention
Centre and unit 18. Can the minister please provide the following information
about psychology appointments in May 2023, broken down by facility —
(a) the number of appointments
requested by young people in detention;
(b) the number of appointments that
have been scheduled;
(c) the number of appointments that
have been cancelled; and
(d) the number of distinct young
people represented in part (a)?

Minister for Corrective Services.
Collecting
this data would require psychologists at Banksia Hill Detention Centre and unit
18 to be diverted from their core duties of providing services and support to
young people. As such, an answer to these questions will not be provided.
