Dion Barber—Compensation payment
803. Hon Nick Goiran to
the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the
Premier's reported comments in the media last week that "my government
will preserve that full payment regardless of the outcome of the appeal".
(1) Did the Premier
take any steps to ensure that Mr Barber was informed of that decision in a
manner other than through the media?
(2) Will the Premier ensure that the full payment
is made forthwith rather than delayed indefinitely by an appeal outside the
control of Mr Barber?
(3) Will the Premier ensure that all of Mr
Barber's appeal costs will be covered?
(4) If no to any of (1), (2) or (3), why not?
