1. There are various factors that may contribute to an increase in the number of incidents reported to police including heightened community awareness that family and domestic violence is unacceptable as well as improvements in legislation and the increased availability of services and supports.
2. It is anticipated that there may be further increases in the number of reports to police and other agencies.
