Kalgoorlie Health Campus—Radiology billing
313. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
The minister has
confirmed today that she has referred concerns about radiology billing practices
at Kalgoorlie Health Campus to the Corruption and Crime Commission.
(1) What new information has the minister
been provided that warranted this referral?
(2) From whom did the minister seek
advice to make this referral?

(1)–(2) I thank the member for the question. I
just want to be clear about this. This is a matter in which new information was
received by my office that had not been previously seen by my office—on Friday
5 June. It was provided by a journalist at The
West Australian . On the same day I discussed that matter with the Director
General of the Department of Health and, in light of the material that had been
received, made a decision to refer it for further advice.
