(1) Has the Minister's department provided any type of funding, donation, grant or payment to any organisation in which the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union holds an interest since January 2004?
(2) Will the Minister detail the date, amount, payment method and purpose of each such transaction referred to in (1)?
(3) For each such transaction referred to in (1), will the Minister advise the name of the person that first approached either the Minister or the Minister's department seeking that funding?
(4) Will the Minister advise of the purpose of each fund to which money was paid and why it was necessary to contribute public funds to each fund?
(5) Do any of the Organisations involved own or operate motor vehicles that are driven by Union staff?
(6) Do any of the Organisations involved employ Union staff?

The Department of Education and Training (DET) has made payments totalling $966 on behalf of retrenched native hardwood timber industry workers who were clients of the Worker Assistance program who selected CSTC as their preferred training provider. In addition, the CSTC was successful in winning a DET tender worth $11,000 to improve skills recognition outcomes for migrants. (5) The Department is unable to obtain this information.
