The question concerns the lack of increased capacity on the Midland rail line. The Minister's response highlights the provision of 45 new railcars to the PTA for allocation across the network and includes a sarcastic offer to arrange a new railcar for the questioner.

MIDLAND RAIL LINE — CAPACITY
I have a supplementary question. Why will the minister not provide any extra capacity at all on the Midland line over the next five years? Mr T.R. BUSWELL

AnswerView source ↗

We are providing 45 additional railcars to the PTA. It will then allocate those railcars across the lines as it deems fit. If the member for Midland can let me know when she intends to travel on the Midland train line, I will arrange one of those new ones for her!
