I refer to the 2012 Chevron City to Surf for Activ held on Sunday 26 August and ask:
(a) did the Western Australian Government, through EventsCorp, support this event, and if so:
(i) is a review being conducted of the marshalling and start procedure at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre;
(ii) will this review be publicly available, and if not, why not;
(iii) were the published start times for the 12 kilometre run respected;
(iv) what was the published start time for 12 kilometre run Wave 1b; and
(v) at what time did the 12 kilometre run Wave 1b start;
(b) will EventsCorp be funding this event next year; and
(c) will EventsCorp be sponsoring this event in 2013?

(a -c) The Western Australian Government, through Eventscorp, sponsored the 2012 Chevron City to Surf for Activ and has an agreement with event organiser, Corporate Sports Australia, to sponsor the event from 2012 through to 2014. In its role as a sponsor, Eventscorp does not conduct any operational functions relating to the event. As a review relating to marshalling and start procedures is considered an operational matter, the Member may wish to contact Corporate Sports Australia to seek this information.
