156. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the Minister for Health's
media release of Friday, 13 December 2019 entitled ''New Albany
radiation oncology service on track'',
referring to the new radiation unit to be built in the cancer centre of Albany
Health Campus.
(1) Is the new
radiation oncology service on track to be operational by early 2022 as
described in the release?
(2) Has the state
government discussed or advised of any potential delays in the completion of
the project with the federal government or any federal department?
(3) If yes to
(2), when did that discussion occur and with whom?
(4) Is there any
potential delay to having the service operational by early 2022?
(5) If yes to
(4), why?
