I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) Western
Power is always preparing for changing customer needs. Each year Western Power
releases an annual planning report—APR—to provide the public
with information on emerging capacity constraints on the network. The APR
provides an open and transparent view into the factors considered by Western Power
in addressing network issues responsibly and efficiently to produce timely
network investments and non-network solutions to manage both emerging constraints
and developing customer needs. Due to the dynamic nature of customers'
requirements, the information and plans do change from year to year. Western
Power's 2014 APR forecasts that the requirement for the MWEP northern
section is dependent on new foundation customers triggering the need for
network augmentation.
(2) Not
applicable.
(3) As noted above, the APR is released publicly.
