I refer to Question on Notice No. 1549 and the former Minister’s response that he was updated by LandCorp representatives on the Hilton Worldwide and Ramtron Australia Karratha hotel development on 8 November 2013, and I ask: (a) when did the current Minister last receive an update on the hotel’s development; and (b) what progress has been made since the former Minister’s response to Question on Notice No. 1549 on 3 December 2013, which stated that "an announcement on the timeframes to finalise the process and progress the development is expected in coming weeks"?

(a) The Minister was updated on 4 February 2014 at a meeting with  LandCorp.
(b) The hotel proponent has been progressing well with the design for the  hotel and associated management plans (traffic, parking etc).  The  draft design was provided to LandCorp on 31 January 2014 for approval/comment prior to being submitted to the Shire for formal approval.  All design changes have now been made and the proponent  has lodged for Development Approval.
