2) Bush Forever outlines an implementation strategy with various mechanisms applying to affected land. Where land is or is proposed to be reserved for Parks and Recreation in the Metropolitan Region Scheme there are compensation provisions under planning legislation. It should also be noted that not all land that is identified for conservation purposes need be acquired, for example, open space is often ceded free of cost as part of major subdivision proposals. 3) 32 properties as at 14 May 2002. 4) Land is purchased at fair market value. 5) 1998/99 $0.426 million; 1999/00 $1.361 million; 2000/01 $6.229 million: 2001/02 $6.508 million as at 14 May 2002.
