I refer to the information you provided to Estimates Committee by your Director General, specifically the statement that new beds in the system are "very carefully aligned ... to the definitions used by the Commonwealth. It pays us per bed and it requires us to stick to a strict definition.", and I ask : (a) Do all of the 929 beds listed by you as additional to the system since 2021 align with the Commonwealth's definition of a bed; (b) Do all of the 929 beds listed by you as additional to the system since 2021 receive federal government funding; and (c) If no to (b) how many do not receive federal government funding and why?

(a)-(c) Yes, State and Commonwealth funding for Hospital inpatient services is provided within an Activity Based Funding model that funds health care activity not beds.
