FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL — NON-CLINICAL SERVICES OUTSOURCING
I refer to reports that suggest the government is considering the outsourcing of all non-clinical hospital services at Fiona Stanley Hospital. (1) Can the minister provide a list of services that will be targeted for outsourcing? (2) What process will the minister use to assess the services that he wishes to outsource in terms of value for money? (3) What are the anticipated savings from any outsourcing? (4) When will the minister determine the services to be targeted? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN

(1) At this stage options are still being examined for the design and delivery of services for Fiona Stanley Hospital. These are still subject to review and as such the list of services has not been determined. (2) If a decision is made to proceed, the market would be publicly tested through a contestable process on a value-for-money basis consistent with government policy. (3)-(4) Not applicable.
