The Minister Replied:
(1) The land identified by the Wellington Forest Advisory Committee (WFAC) as the site most suitable for consideration as development for accommodation is situated on State Forest which has been recommended in the Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) to change to National Park.
The WFAC, which comprised representatives from Water Authority (now Water and Rivers Commission and Water Corporation), the Shires of Dardanup and Collie, local business people and the Department of Conservation and Land Management (CALM), selected and recommended the site.
(2) The final proposal for the site will be assessed by the Environmental Protection Authority. That level of assessment will be determined when a proposal is submitted.
