BEST BEGINNINGS PROGRAM — RECRUITMENT
521. Hon LINDA SAVAGE to the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the position of Best Beginnings officer in
Kununurra that was advertised in The
Weekend West of 3 and 4 March 2012, 30 June and 1 July 2012, and 14 and 15
July 2012.
(1) Has the
position now been filled, and will any specific training be offered to the
successful applicant?
(2) How many applications were received, and how many
applicants were interviewed for the position?
(3) As at 1
August 2012, how many full-time equivalent employees conduct the Best
Beginnings program across the state, and where are the Best Beginnings service
sites in the state?
(4) As at 1 August 2012, how many active Best Beginnings
cases were there across the state?
(5) What was
the total amount spent on the Best Beginnings program in 2010–11 and
2011–12, and what were these amounts as a percentage of the total
budget for the Department for Child Protection?
(6) What is
the allocation, or projected spending, in the 2012–13 Department for
Child Protection budget for the Best Beginnings program, and what is this as a
percentage of the total budget for the year?
