ROE
HIGHWAY STAGE 8 — ABORIGINAL HERITAGE SURVEYS
753. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to the 2010 consultation report with the Noongar
Aboriginal groups on the proposed Roe 8 highway extension, Perth Freight Link,
in particular appendix 0, which contains two Aboriginal heritage surveys.
(1) Who were
the Aboriginal groups or traditional owners who were involved in the Aboriginal
cultural heritage survey of the proposed Roe Highway extension dated 24 August
2011?
(2) Have any
approvals been given under section 18 of the Aboriginal Heritage Act for
registered heritage sites within the Beeliar wetlands or along the proposed Roe
8 highway extension to be disturbed or removed from the heritage register?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) This
question should be referred to the Minister for Transport. I did follow up on
that. He said it would take some time and it may be just as easy for the member
to ask that question of the Minister for Transport.
(2) Yes.
