❓ Hon Sue Ellery asks about staffing positions filled at Fiona Stanley Hospital beyond those announced in January 2013, including titles, locations, and transition timelines. The parliamentary secretary provides a spreadsheet detailing operational positions with commissioning roles and notes the part-time nature of many roles and the transfer of staff from other hospitals.

FIONA
STANLEY HOSPITAL — STAFFING
107. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the Minister for Health's media statement
of 14 January 2013. In addition to the positions at Fiona Stanley Hospital
announced on that date, what others have been filled, and for each position:
what is the title; where is the person appointed currently located; and if not
currently located at Fiona Stanley Hospital, when will they move to that
campus?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
All operational positions that have been filled, who also
have a substantial commissioning role pre–hospital opening, with start
dates confirmed, are itemised on a spreadsheet. I seek leave to table that
information. It is important to note that a number of these staff are only
part-time/fractional and are still working at other sites as well as Fiona Stanley
Hospital. Fiona Stanley Hospital only pays for these staff for the time they
are working on the project. For example, heads of specialty work in their
current clinical capacity at other sites and spend a small proportion of their
time at Fiona Stanley Hospital—approximately one to three sessions a
week. The medical co-directors also share their time between Fiona Stanley
Hospital and other sites. Three of these medical co-directors spend 50 per cent
of their time at Fiona Stanley Hospital, with the remaining medical co-director
position spending approximately 20 per cent.
Please note that a further 1 770 staff from Royal Perth
Hospital and Fremantle Hospital and Health Service have been offered, and have
accepted, positions at Fiona Stanley Hospital, and their start dates will be
finalised in coming months. The 1 770 figure refers to the number of staff who
are currently employed at other South Metropolitan Health Service sites in
services that are partially or fully transferring to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
