JUVENILE JUSTICE FACILITIES — EDUCATION AND
TRAINING CERTIFICATES
861. Hon
ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the Minister for Corrective
Services:
I refer to certificates received by students undertaking
education or training in juvenile justice facilities and to the information
contained on these certificates, which can be used to identify that the
training was provided by the Department of Corrective Services.
(1) What
action does the minister intend to take to address the issue that providing
students with certificates that potentially identify the student as having been
held in a juvenile justice facility goes against the intent of the Young
Offenders Act 1994?
(2) If the minister intends to take no action, why?
