DIGITAL DRIVERS' LICENCES
799. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the Minister for Innovation and
the Digital Economy:
I
note the growing list of jurisdictions providing their motorists with the
option of a digital driver's licence, including New South Wales,
South Australia, and recently announced Queensland and Victoria. Can the
minister please confirm that a digital driver's licence is an intended
feature of the ServiceWA app; and, if so, when can we expect its
implementation?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the
Department of Transport are currently evaluating the potential implementation
of a digital driver's licence in the ServiceWA app.
