I refer to the minister's
answer to my question without notice of 18 March 2020 concerning a prisoner
currently conducting a hunger strike.
(1) What reasons
did the prisoner give for his unhappiness with his medical treatment?
(2) Why has the
prisoner been denied the methadone program?
(3) What
alternative treatments have been administered to the prisoner in place of
methadone?
(4) Has the
prisoner, or anyone on his behalf, indicated dissatisfaction or concerns with
those alternatives; and, if so, what are they and how have they been
accommodated?

honourable member receive consent from the prisoner to obtain these details, the minister will disclose the information
requested to the honourable member privately.
