(1) Total number of nurses (FTE) employed by the Government, each year since 2016, distinguishing between Government employees and agency nurses:
· Financial Year 2015-16: 12,837 Government employee nurses FTE and 249 agency nurses FTE
· Financial Year 2016-17: 13,169 Government employee nurses FTE and 242 agency nurses FTE
· Financial Year 2017-18: 13,617 Government employee nurses FTE and 251 agency nurses FTE
· Financial Year 2018-19: 13,920 Government employee nurses FTE and 285 agency nurses FTE
· Financial Year 2019-20: 14,460 Government employee nurses FTE and 238 agency nurses FTE
(2) Total number of nurses who have ceased employment with the Government each year since 2016:
· Financial Year 2015-16 – 4,459 nurses
· Financial Year 2016-17 – 2,468 nurses
· Financial Year 2017-18 – 2,560 nurses
· Financial Year 2018-19 – 2,614 nurses
· Financial Year 2019-20 – 2,828 nurses
