NGAANYATJARRAKU AND TJUNTJUNTJARA COMMUNITIES — GOLDFIELDS–ESPERANCE DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION REPORT
I refer to reports of the Goldfields–Esperance Development Commission into conditions for children living in the Ngaanyatjarraku and Tjuntjuntjara communities, received in the minister’s office in January 2011. (1) Did the minister or his office ever refer the reports to the Minister for Child Protection or request that his department refer them to the Department for Child Protection; and, if so, when did this occur, and to whom were the reports sent? (2) If the reports have been sent, has any response been received; and, if so, what is that response and will the minister table it, and, if not, why not? (3) If the reports were not sent to either the Minister for Child Protection or the Department for Child Protection, why not? Hon WENDY DUNCAN
