Planning—Narrogin wind farm
167. Hon Neil Thomson to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Planning and Lands:
I refer to the
proposed Narrogin wind farm and note that State
Planning Policy 2.5: Rural Planning is the only state planning policy
referred to in the important links on
https://haveyoursay.dplh.wa.gov.au/narroginwindfarm, yet SPP 2.5 makes no
reference to wind farms.
(1) What state planning policy or other strategic
framework will the Western Australian Planning Commission use to determine the
application which is being considered through the special development pathway 11B
of the Planning and Development Act?
(2) Does the minister have any intention of
developing or has a state planning policy been developed to provide guidance to
developments of the scale being proposed at Narrogin and across our state?
(3) Has the minister or representatives from his
office met with landowners concerned about the impact of this and similar
developments, if yes, who and when?
