Since 1 January 2017 have any departments, agencies, commissions or Government Trading Enterprises (GTE) within the Minister’s portfolio of responsibilities purchased a drone and if so: (a) what was the make and model of the drone and at what cost; (b) were any accessories purchased and if so, what were the accessories and what was the cost of each; and (c) why was the drone purchased?

(a) DJI Phantom 4 Pro with monitor – $3099.99 on 6 June 2017
(b) 2 x DJI Phantom 4 batteries – $299.00 each, 1 x 64 GB SanDisk memory card (purchased on 10 July 2017) – $64.00
(c) The drone was purchased to assist with the Western Australian Planning Commission’s land management activities across approximately 12,000 ha of land. It has been used to assist with coastal erosion and vegetation surveys, weed mapping, site inspections and the monitoring of firebreaks, feral animals, unauthorised access and illegal rubbish dumping.
