Data is provisional and subject to revision. Figures are a distinct count of ‘Burglary’ offences as defined under section 401 of the Criminal Code Act Compilation 1913, where the offence was reported or become known to Police between 01 January 2015 and 31 December 2018 inclusive. Figures include only ‘Burglary’ offences recorded as having occurred in the requested suburbs. A Counting Rule has been applied which excludes duplication offences in specific circumstances. These rules are applied to certain reporting categories (typically those known to have been prone to over-reporting of offences historically) in order to provide a more accurate picture of crime volumes and trends. Counting Rules are applied historically to ensure comparability.
