Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson asks the Attorney General for data on Violence Restraining Orders (VROs) processing times across magistrate districts from 2012-2016. The Attorney General responds that the data is not readily available and would require significant time and resources to extract, particularly for years prior to 2014.

I thank the member for some notice of this question. On the
understanding that I have not been able to personally verify the information,
but I have no reason to suppose it is inaccurate, I am advised by the
Department of the Attorney General that it is not possible to provide the
member with an answer within the time available and I ask that she place this
question on notice. The considerable amount of information sought by the member
will need to be extracted from the court database. A significant amount of time
and employee resources will be required to carry out this task. In addition,
the integrated courts management system does not contain any information prior
to 2014. This information will need to be collated manually.
