(a) Since construction of the Gorgon Gas Development commenced on 10 August 2009 there have been a total of 1575 registered fauna injuries and deaths on Barrow Island either directly attributable to the Gorgon Project or in areas of common use between WA Oil and the Gorgon Project. The data include the "EPBC Act Threatened or Listed Fauna Recorded as Injured, Cared for, and Deceased within the Terrestrial Disturbance footprint" and "Reportable Incidents Involving Harm to Marine Turtles". The data are represented by species in [see tabled paper no] and are taken from Chevron Annual Environmental Performance Reports in addition to the incidents reported to the Department of Parks and Wildlife from 9 August 2013 to 19 November 2013.
