I supply this answer on behalf of the Minister for Housing and Works. I thank the member for some notice of this question. I am advised - (1) Broad Construction Services Pty Ltd nominated in its expression of interest response in March 2003 Bob Swann as site manager and Colin Brown as project manager for the construction phase of the Geraldton Regional Hospital project. (2) Yes. It is not an uncommon practice in the construction industry for firms to change key personnel after an expression of interest is submitted and a contract is awarded to meet their resourcing requirements at that later time. The Department of Housing and Works examines the credentials of any substituted key personnel and, if satisfied, approves the substitution. (3) Information of this nature is sought in an expression of interest stage to ascertain a firm’s experience, capacity and resources to undertake the work required. (4) The nominated persons have experience in hospital construction and projects of a similar nature and complexity. (5) Yes. (6) Not applicable.
