(1) Is the 15ha piece of Crown land at Baldivis, previously earmarked for a Totally and Partially Disabled Veterans of WA Respite Centre, included in the Bush Forever Conservation areas as regionally significant for retention?
(2) If yes -
(a) have discussions been undertaken by the Ministry of Planning with Homeswest (who are funding the Centre), as to the retention of this conservation area;
(b) if so, what has been the outcome of those discussions;
(c) have discussions by the Ministry of Planning been undertaken with the Totally and Partially Disabled Veterans of WA Association as to the retention of this conservation area, and as to their current use of the site; and
(d) if so, what has been the outcome of those discussions?
(3) Given that this site is included in the Bush Forever Conservation areas, is the Minister aware that there are allegations of unauthorised clearing of this site?
(4) If not, will the Minister investigate?
(5) If so, what action has the Minister taken?

(2) a) No b) Not applicable c) Yes d) The City of Rockingham has initiated a Town Planning Scheme Amendment to facilitate a Respite Centre on the eastern portion of the subject lot. As part of this process and the review of the Amendment by the Environment Protection Authority, discussions regarding the appropriate siting of the Respite Centre have taken place. It is proposed that the remaining western portion of the subject lot be set aside for conservation. (3) Yes (4) Not applicable (5) The clearing is a result of unauthorised development, which is controlled through the Town Planning and Development Act 1928. The City of Rockingham has written to the Veterans Association on this matter.
