I refer to the
Auditor General's damning report, Report
16: Fraud Risks in Land Transactions by DevelopmentWA, which was
released on 28 May 2025.
(1) Has the minister received any hospitality
whatsoever, such as attendance at corporate boxes or other events of any of the
purchasers of properties considered in the case studies of the Auditor General,
including where that hospitality is from an individual who has a commercial,
professional or related interest with the purchaser or its agent, for the
period 1 July 2017 to the present?
(2) If yes, can the minister please outline the
nature of that hospitality?
(3) If yes, has that
hospitality been declared in accordance with parliamentary and cabinet
obligations?

been provided to me by the minister.
(1)–(3) Prior to 2021, the ministerial
gift recording process was inadequate and ad hoc, and there was no requirement
for public disclosure. The WA Labor government introduced a policy to make
ministerial gift registers available and public each and every year. Under WA
Labor, all cabinet ministers are required to table their ministerial gift
register every year as part of the members of Parliament annual return.
