I refer to answers given by the Minister for Health in the other place today about the Kalamunda District Community Hospital, in which he referred to an endorsed Labor commitment, and ask - (1) What is meant by an endorsed Labor commitment and how is it different from any other Labor commitment? (2) How can the public tell which commitments are endorsed and which are not? Hon KIM CHANCE

(1)-(2) What an interesting question!  I can only presume that the use of the term “endorsed” in the context of a Labor commitment refers to an election commitment. Hon N.F. Moore:  I am asking you. Hon KIM CHANCE:  I do not know.  The Leader of the Opposition asked the question.  I presume that - Hon Peter Foss interjected. The PRESIDENT:  Order! Hon KIM CHANCE:  I presume the Leader of the House is referring to an election commitment, presumably one made by the Minister for Health.  I am not aware of the phrase, “endorsed Labor commitment”.  I can only speculate that it was a commitment endorsed as part of the funded program presented by the then Opposition.
