I refer to the administrative response issued by the City of Perth on 1 March 2018, which states 'Where it was deemed Elected Members had not met the appropriate standard of professional conduct, all instances were reported to the Department of Local Government and Communities', and ask: (a) how many referrals were made to the Department; (b) on what date was each referral made; (c) who, within the council, made each referral; (d) which elected members were referred to the Department; (e) on how many occasions was each elected member referred to the Department; (f) what inquiries has the Department made in respect of each referral; (g) what action, disciplinary or otherwise, has taken place in respect of each referral; and (h) when were you first made aware of this matter?

(a) Four (4) referrals were made to the Local Government Standards Panel.
(b) Three (3) on 23 February 2018 and one (1) on 1 March 2018.
(c) The Acting Chief Executive Officer, referred the three matters on 23 February 2018 and an Elected Member (Cr Limnios) referred the fourth matter on 1 March 2018.
(d) The fourth matter related to Cr Harley. This matter was previously dealt with by a separate inquiry conducted by the CCC. The other three matters are active and currently under assessment; therefore, it is inappropriate to make any further comment in relation to these matters.

(f)–(g) The Department reviewed the matter referred by Cr Limnios and determined that the complaint was unsubstantiated resulting in no further action. The other three matters are active and currently under assessment; therefore, it is inappropriate to make any further comment in relation to these matters.
(h) My office first became aware of the issues at the City of Perth on 13 February 2018, following a meeting between Mr Martin Mileham and the Department.
