PUBLIC HOUSING — WAITING LIST
130. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to questions on notice 10
and 11 asked on 4 May 2021 and the housing crisis that is starting to afflict
many Western Australians.
(1) How many
applications are currently on the public housing waitlist? If the minister can
do so in the time provided, please break them down by region, including the
metropolitan subregions.
(2) What is the
average wait time for public housing across WA?
(3) What is the
longest amount of time an application has been listed on the public housing
waitlist for the periods June 2020 to December 2020 and January 2021 to date?
(4) Referring to
the social housing economic recovery package —
(a) how much
money has been spent to date; and
(b) of the 250
homes due to be constructed, how many will be available in the next three
months?
