a) There are different models of medihotels operating within the WA Health  System.  The answer provided in June 2023 was for the medihotel operating within the East Metropolitan Health Service.  The most recent average cost per day for this facility is $268.30.
The Murdoch Medihotel is a much larger, higher acuity medihotel facility with a different operating model, bed day costs are not yet available for this facility.
b) Using the most recent available data, the average cost per day for tertiary hospital beds in Western Australia is $2,610.
