(2) No, if an officer had less than 3 years experience when applying for their visa, (ie: 2.9 years) our office needed to apply to DIAC for an exemption. Applications were not accepted by Police Recruiting Branch unless the officer had a minimum of 2.5 years by the closing date of the application process. Due to the timeframes involved in the selection process this was deemed a sufficient amount of time to allow the applicant to progress to a full 3 years experience prior to coming to WA Police. (3) 2005/6 recruitment drive Expressions of Interest - 1604 Applications - 769 2006/7 recruitment drive Expressions of Interest - 1754 Applications - 840 (4) An estimate can not be determined.
