I refer to answers in Legislative Council Budget Estimates in which the Minister indicated that higher expenses for this year in Budget Paper 2, Page 550, "Services Summary - Expenses - Maritime" were due in part to the transfer of the Port Hedland Spoilbank Marina from the Pilbara Ports Authority to the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, and I ask: (a) what is the specific financial impact in numerical terms this year and across the outyears of the Spoilbank Marina transfer on the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure; (b) what is the specific financial impact in numerical terms this year and across the outyears of the Spoilbank Marina transfer on the Pilbara Ports Authority; and (c) what is the nature and purpose of the transfer?

(a)        I refer the Member to page 548 of Budget Paper No. 2.
(b)       Nil.
(c)        Following the completion of the construction of the Spoilbank Marina by Pilbara Ports Authority, DTMI assumed management responsibility of the waterside components of the marina in November 2024.
The transfer of management occurred because managing boar harbour facilities is a core function of DTMI and not of PPA.
