1439. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the revelation in the
hearing before the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations on
8 November 2023 that the managing director of Main Roads decided on 4 August
2023 to disable the devices that had been collecting data from road users in
breach of the Surveillance Devices Regulations 1999.
(1) On what date was the minister
verbally briefed by the managing director about this decision?
(2) Did the minister or any other
person keep notes during the briefing?
(3) If yes to (2), will the minister
table those notes?
